The Chloraka Sunset Story

Some people dream about buying a house in the sun and living a life of peace an tranquility in an idyllic environment.

Chloraka Sunset is such an environment. A group of 22 houses built on a hillside with panoramic views of the sea over orange groves dotted with villas; a place to be happy and to live in peace.
This is a story about what happens when things go seriously wrong; when the concept of peace is shattered, turning law abiding folks lives into a living nightmare; when stress is driven to unbearable levels; and when a developer abdicates responsibility and leaves a community in turmoil.

The story is told by Mike and Ann Radford, but it is a story which could have been told by their neighbours who have, for some 14

years, lived in fear of losing their properties, their life savings and even their lives. It is a story which recently featured on UK TV’s Channel 4 programme “House Trapped in the Sun”

It is a salutary tale, a warning to check the credentials of a Developer before making a purchase. It is advice to look behind glossy brochures that profess professionalism, expertise and foresight, excellent after sales service and good relations both during and after construction. A Developer’s true credentials can be checked by investigating its past performance. This story may assist in that regard.
