Drilling commences.

So in only 6 days the government acted to do the right thing. Whereas Aristo spent 14 years and 14 days playing a game with peoples lives and property. For some of the residents their only home has been blighted by this problem, making them worthless
until this rebuild is complete.

December Update.

With Government intervention, and with Aristo being instructed to undertake the work immediately, drilling is taking place with new concrete pillars being set in place. However, this build is not in accord with the plans passed by the Paphos District Office, and as accepted by the Minister of the Interior - as shown on the UK TV
program. Possibly due to this, there would also appear to be some uncertainty in how to drill one section of the wall, where the fear apparently exists that drilling may cause collapse of the properties.

The rebuild of the wall is a solution to only one of our many problems, with official recognition still to be given that these problems actually exist. All properties now tilt from front to back, with a drop of up to 150mm from the front of the properties to the rear. Foundations of the buildings have almost certainly been compromised, with immediate investigations necessary. It is quite likely that as a result of these investigations, underpinning will be found to be necessary.

For repairs to be effective, the issue of the drainage of rainwater has to be resolved - not only the natural drainage to the rear of the properties, but also the drainage from the roof areas with existing drain pipes at the front of the properties and therefore no longer effective due to the tilt. Dividing walls to the front and rear of the properties have become cracked and need to be replaced; cracks to the
