had been arranged from the UK, was kept by the Ministry in Nicosia which, in like manner to previous meetings, kindly set no time limit. The meeting ran until all points of concern had been dealt with.
Whilst at this meeting, Mr Andreas Agapiou, the Head of Town Planning for Paphos District, was called for. He was told that a meeting would be held in his office in Paphos on the following Tuesday when all the reports, drawings, specifications would be handed over, followed by a meeting on site. Also that henceforth from that time weekly meetings would be held with Mr Agapiou, as the Government representative on site, with the Developer’s representative in attendance. All good news and very positive. The three owners felt that, for the first time, a real solution had been forged between owners, the Paphos District Planners and the Developer and that works could now move forward with owners being fully in the picture. First class.
On January the 11th 2005 the same three owners went to see Mr Agapiou as arranged and gave him a copy of the Chlorakas Sunset

Owners Requirements. which confirmed the discussions with the Ministry in Nicosia. Also in attendance was Aristo Developers Structural Engineer Michaelides who was given a copy of the Requirements An Architect from the Paphos District also attended. Mr Agapiou stated that no drawings or any paperwork was available for owners despite what was said at the Ministry of the Interior in Nicosia. The meeting was going downhill again until Michaelides kindly allowed owners to view, but not copy, his private working file of the remedial works relating to the piling and replacement wall. These were the first working drawings seen by owners. After about an hour, Mr Agapiou stated that he had given
enough time and closed the meeting and said that he could not attend the meeting on site.
These were not the arrangements discussed with the Ministry on 7th January and once again owners felt betrayed. However, Michaelides agreed to the site meeting straight away with himself and Aristo’s site foreman, Alexis. He said that they would answer questions in relation to the works. The three owners spent considerable time with both of them on site and they were extremely helpful. They explained, in detail, the works being carried out to the wall and patios but could not say what work was planned to remedy the damage caused to the houses and they did not have the authority to release reports, drawings and specification or the programme.
